Favorite Date Night Spots in Boston

Ark Bag

A couple years ago Boston would not have been known as a foodie scene (unless you count the Cambridge area) and the same restaurants would be packed weekend after weekend. Lately there have been so many new restaurants popping up its so hard to keep up! Thank goodness for sites like Eater that keep on top of this stuff. Boston in my opinion has some of the best food I’ve ever had now! I visit other cities and my standards are so high that nothing compares anymore! Today I’m sharing my top 5 favorite spots for date night with hubby to be.

Pink Romper

Bar Mezzana

A Barbara Lynch group restaurant – this has been my birthday dinner spot the last two years! It has it all – good food (crudo and pasta how can you go wrong?) good drinks, and awesome ambiance!! It’s fresh and not stuffy but I love to dress up and see and be seen here 🙂

Lolita Cocina and Tequila Bar

For years I never went to the Back Bay location of this restaurant but when they opened their Fort Point location I knew it was time to go! This place is so cool it’s on the water and has a “goth” like ambiance not to mention skulls on each table. Mix this with AMAZING mexican food, awesome drinks, and a few special surprises that I won’t ruin here and you have the best restaurant as far as experience goes.

Date Night Outfi

Orinoco

There are a few different locations of this amazing Venezuelan restaurant but wherever you go definitely get an arepa (I’m partial to the chicken salad one) and ask for the hot sauce!! I could literally put it on everything. I always get the same plate here – The Pabellon Criolo. This has got to be the simplest meal I have ordered at a restaurant but it is done SO well. HIGHLY recommend

Toro

I might get some heat for putting this so low on the list but Toro is a fan fave here in Boston. This little tapas joint has some amazing food and flavor that packs a punch. Some favorites include the mexican corn (literally the best I’ve ever had), the garlic shrimp, and the patatas bravas. We peeked in the NYC location when we were there and the ambiance looked so great! We would have eaten there but felt since we were in New York we should try something new (so glad we did because we ended up at an amazing italian restaurant called Scarpetta). The one downside to Toro Boston is that they don’t take reservations and the wait can be upwards of two hours. Sometimes they will bring you a free app if you are waiting so long 🙂

Sarma

Ok technically this is Cambridge but this is new to my favorites list! We went here for my mom’s birthday this year and I was pretty blown away by the food. It’s modern mediterranean but there is SO much flavor in all the food. It’s nearly impossible to get a reservation here without planning several weeks ahead of time! I thought it was pretty ridiculous at first especially since this restaurant has been around for a long time. Once I tried the food though I realized why!

Comfy Heels

Ruffle Wrap Romper: Nordstrom (similar look here) | Heels: Sam Edelman (SO comfy! Have worn to weddings etc.) | Ark Bag: Cult Gaia | Necklace: Made by Mary

I hope you guys enjoyed my little tour through Boston – date night style! Boston is seriously changing it’s food scene every month some of these might change by next year! If any of you are from Boston and need to take out of town guests somewhere these all have that wow factor that you want in a restaurant. Comment below and let me know what I missed! And let me know if I should do a best of “fast casual” or brunch spots. XOXO Tanu
