Our NYC Trip Through My Phone

NYC always has a special place in my heart – ever since interning there years ago I’ve never been anywhere that has the same vibe, action, food, and energy as the big apple. Whenever Jordan and I visit it always turns into a major foodie tour as I try out all the places I see on the ‘gram! Luckily Jordan puts up with wait times and my crazy tendencies to go out of our way just to try the newest cookie or margarita in town. Here are a few snaps from our recent trip:

The Butchers Daughter

By the time we take the train in from Connecticut we are usually pretty hungry and our go to spot has always been the Butcher’s Daughter. While both Jordan and I are not even close to being vegans we love the tasty and healthy dishes here and the vibe and juices are so nice and refreshing after a morning of travel! I so wish one would come to Boston!

Glossier

I saw a sign for Glossier from a mile away and I told Jordan we HAVE to stop there! I thought they were an online only brand and had no idea they had a store. Well when we got there there was a huge line to get in! Figures in NYC there is a line to get in anywhere. Not only that it started drizzling and they brought us out umbrellas to share. Needless to say, Jordan wasn’t too happy standing in line for something he had never heard of before LOL. People kept stopping by asking what the line was for and then they would get in too! It was pretty funny to watch. Anyway I think their tactic worked because by the time I got in I wanted to buy all the major staples! Side note – the boy brow really IS as good as everyone says!

Hamilton

This was our second time seeing Hamilton and we were just as obsessed! I think we know every word to all the songs – I talked more about my experience seeing this here but if you haven’t seen it I highly recommend grabbing tix when you can

Club Monaco

We stopped by the Club Monaco store and I fell in LOVE with this white blazer. I had to put it back on the rack before I blew my whole budget though!! I love a good crisp white blazer!

Sadelles

If you’re looking for that true NYC brunch look no further than Sadelles! This is probably my favorite brunch in the city. The bagels, the towers, the coffee is all on point and the fact that you can leisurely walk around SoHo after is perfect!

DUMBOAfter walking around through the 9/11 memorial and museum we decided to take the train over to Brooklyn and visit DUMBO for the first time. This industrial neighborhood has been everywhere and now I know why! It’s such a charming neighborhood and if we weren’t so tired from walking we would have explored the shops and cafes more. We ended up sitting on a nearby bench and enjoying the view of the city across the river

Gitanos

Guacamole

After walking across the Brooklyn Bridge back to Manhattan this señorita needed a margarita! We had dinner at this Mexican oasis outdoor lounge called Gitano’s that came all the way from Tulum, Mexico as a pop-up! I believe they are looking to go permanent somewhere in the city but for now their margaritas, guacamole, and ceviche are all too good to pass up!

Two Hands Two Hands

I FINALLY got to go to Two Hands this past trip! I’ve been wanting to try this brunch for years but it has been out of the way or too long of a wait previously. It was so worth the wait and everything we got was delicious! The banana bread pictured above was so good as well as the pickled fresno chiles and the oat milk in my cappuccino! (just trust me it’s amazing).

Hope you all enjoyed this NYC trip through my phone and stay tuned for more outfits from this trip coming up! XOXO Tanu
