Hello everyone! I spoke a little bit about fun fall activities to do in the Boston area and I wanted to give some recommendations because this truly is a beautiful season to experience in this part of the world. Aside from the fiery red and golden yellow leaves just a drive away, there are some super fun ways to enjoy being outside:

– Visit an apple farm – there are so many around here but the one I go back to time and time again is Honey pot Hill Orchards. Not only is the place so large with so many different varieties of apples (and pears too!) that you can pick, but there is a grill with hot dogs/burgers, mazes for kids, animals on site, pumpkins, and of course cider donuts. It is your quintessential New England fall activity in the most picturesque place.

-Speaking of pumpkins – visit a pumpkin patch (you can literally find them at farms or even churches in any suburb in the area) and take it home to carve and set out on your front steps. This is particularly fun to do with kids because they get so excited!

-Visit Salem, MA – I’m sure you all know that Salem was famous for the witch trials back in the day but there is so much other history there including the historic house of nathaniel hawthorne. There are graveyard tours that go on at night but just walking through the town is eerie and fun all at the same time. Not to mention the food scene has exploded here! I would recommend Sea Level and Ledger for dinner!

-Visit a haunted house – I recently went back to witch’s woods in Westford, MA. This is easily the farthest activity from the city but I think it’s worth it! for around 35 dollars you get to walk through 5 different haunted houses and go on a haunted hay ride! It’s so fun getting scared by some of these actors and there are fun games and rides there too. Think a nighttime fair with cotton candy, popcorn, fried dough and even Hocus Pocus playing on a projector while you wait in line for a house! If you have more time and energy I would head down to Six Flags for their Fright Fest also – this one is scarier and obviously bigger but father away.

Hope this gave you guys some fun ideas in case you are visiting or some new ideas if you live in the area! XOXO Tanu
